The 3rd or 4th time staying in this hotel, mostly as a transit hotel to or from ski resorts nearby. We chose it due to the proximity to JR train station and affordable cost. Its money for value when considering the distance, convenience, onsen, acceptable room size. Last stayed before covid. This time, there is a sweet surprise that renovation was conducted for the rooms, which has become more practical (hangers added, some furniture re-arranged to increase space). The lighting system was also changed to digital. One can check from the tv how many people had entered the onsen to decide the right time to enter.

The hotel is so close to the train station, saving us a lot of time travelling around. Breakfast was delicious with a lot of choices to select from. Our room is comfy and quiet, we had good nights of sleep and rest after a long day discovering the surrounding area. Many great restaurants and bars nearby. The public bath is a bonus as well. Staffs are very polite and helpful.

Also, thanks a lot to the staff for listening to our room preferences. 4. We loved that we could change the temperature in the air conditioner by ourselves.

The staff was kind to assist me to dispatch my snowboard back home by courier service. And it includes the great breakfast which is standard for all Route Inn hotels.
